I've been a creative my whole life, but for years it lived on the side. I went the expected route first: degrees, offices, careers that looked right on paper. Through all of it, the thing I loved most never changed. I loved making things, decorating, planning, creating moments people would remember. Designs by The Happy Notice is what happened when I finally stopped treating that love like a hobby.

Today, from West Chester, PA, every piece is cut, engraved, painted, or assembled by me. Whether it's faux stained glass signage, an engraved keepsake, a location sign, or a gift basket, each one is made with intention and care. I make things for the moments that matter. A welcome sign a couple keeps long after the wedding. A closing gift that makes a new house feel like home. An ornament that marks a year worth marking.

I grew up in Canada, my roots are in Sri Lanka, and West Chester is home now, which might be why making people feel at home is such a theme in what I create. When I'm not in the workshop, I'm with my partner, our three cats, and a small flock of chickens, usually planning the next thing I want to make.
